The education sector in Europe is experiencing rapid change. Student profiles are changing with retired people and professionals wanting to learn new skills. Increased mobility in Europe means people need their qualifications recognised in host countries. Early school leaving and the quality of vocational training are huge challenges. To understand these issues and identify common responses, DG EAC has worked with Prospex in organising a range of conferences and seminars with key stakeholders in the
education sector. The interaction between teaching professionals, experts and policy-makers has been a defining feature of the conferences. Using a range of participatory and interactive techniques designed by Prospex, stakeholders have provided DG EAC with innovative ideas and proposals. Conferences include:
- Learning for Active Ageing & Intergenerational Solidarity.
- Joint Meeting of European Qualifications Frameworks.
- COMENIUS Partnerships.
- Conference on Early School Leaving.
- Seminar on the Validation of Non-formal & Informal Learning.
