Valérie Julie Boiten is a researcher and consultant at Prospex, where she designs and facilitates participatory processes, supporting both public and private clients in their relations with stakeholders and citizens.
Valérie works on a variety of topics, in particular on mainstreaming biodiversity information into government decision-making, as well as circular economy and textile recycling. She also contributes to a series of European Union funded research and innovation projects, where she designs and runs multi-stakeholder dialogues such as Citizen Labs and Focus Groups, and analyses their outcomes.
Before joining Prospex, Valérie gained professional experiences at the Belgian embassy in Tunis, Tunisia, and also worked at the newspaper De Standaard and the media office of Amnesty International in Flanders. She holds Masters’ degrees in Linguistics and Literature, as well as in European Studies.
Valérie is fluent in Dutch, English, French and Italian, and has an intermediate knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic.
