For the second time, Prospex has cooperated with the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT) in the design and facilitation of the annual InnovEIT conference in Budapest. At innovEIT 2016, more than 350 European entrepreneurs and innovators shared a message of cooperation and innovation among different disciplines and state of the art technologies. The event tackled the key issue on how to maximise the impact on innovation on growth, jobs and well-being in Europe.
The EIT connects higher education, research and business in an international, inter-sectoral community. It spurs cross-border partnerships in innovation and entrepreneurship and works with a set of large scale Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) to implement these activities. A significant portion of the budget of the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme (Research & Innovation) is invested in these KICs.
This year, lively panel discussions with – and inspiring presentations by – EIT members and members from the European Commission alternated with creative pitches from the enthusiastic EIT Award nominees. Prospex also facilitated the award ceremony, during which three young and passionate entrepreneurs were celebrated for their stunning innovations.
InnovEIT 2016 was preceded by the first EIT Connect event. Here, Prospex helped the first EIT Alumni Board to gain input from its motivated Alumni Community in order to develop and state a vision, a mission, and core values.
